Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is suffering from an eye condition which may require surgery, according to reports.
The Spanish keeper has struggled since arriving from Atletico Madrid for £18.3 million in the summer, and has lost his place in the first team after a string of errors. The 21-year-old has a condition that affects his long range-vision in one eye, and wears glasses off the pitch and contact lenses on it.
He has had the problem since childhood and United were aware of the condition when they signed him.
