Oba Olashore dies @ 77

Oba Oladele Olashore, the Aloko of Iloko-Ijesha in Osun State died in the early hours of Saturday at the age of 77.
 The late monarch was a former managing director of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. He was also a former minister of finance. A former Secretary of Finance, Olashore also served as chairman of the G24 in Washington on behalf of the Nigerian government. In 2002, he was awarded the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON) by President Olusegun Obasanjo in recognition of his contributions to the country.

The late Oba Olashore also founded the Olashore International Schools, Iloko-Ijesha among several other establishments of international standard.
 Although details about the circumstances of his death were sketchy, it was gathered that the traditional ruler died in an undisclosed hospital abroad where he was receiving treatment for old-age related ailment
