Guilty: Suarez charged with abusing Evra @ Anfield

Luis Suarez has been banned for eight matches and fined £40,000 after an Independent Regulatory Commission found a charge of misconduct against him proven. The Uruguay international was charged by the FA with abusing the Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. He has 14 days to lodge an appeal.

In response, Suarez took to Twitter, and said: 'Today is a very difficult and painful day for both me and my family. Thanks for all the support, I'll keep working!'
