To mark Cristiano Ronaldo’s son’s first birthday, the youngster was baptised at an airbase chapel in Portugal.
And the Real Madrid footballer was taking no risks, by hiring armed military police to work as security guards outside the venue, reports say
The 26-year-old former Manchester United player organised baby Cristiano’s baptism to be held at the chapel at the airbase, followed by a party at his sister Catia’s house.
Ronaldo’s nephew Denis was also said to be baptised on the same day and Catia said: ‘The baptism was fantastic, beautiful.
The ceremony was held on Friday in Ronaldo’s home country, to honour his son’s birthday on the 17th June.
Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr. was born last year to an unknown mother in the US and his son is also cared for by his mother and sisters Catia and Elma in Funchal, Madeira.
Also spotted at the ceremony was Portuguese singer Tony Carreira, who has sold over 700,000 records in Portugal and is thought to have sung at the after party.
