Beauty is pain: Rooney undergoes painful hair transplant

Gritting his teeth and closing his eyes, Wayne Rooney grimaces in pain as a doctor injects his forehead.
His head is covered in specks of blood as follicles of hair are planted into his scalp to create a new hairline.
This is how artist Alison Jackson imagines the star footballer's eight-hour hair transplant went, anyway.
Jackson has created this spoof of the Manchester United player's £12,000 procedure at a Harley Street clinic last week. The fake Rooney, wearing hospital scrubs, is an absolute doppelgänger for the footballer, fooling many fans at first glance
