96 year old woman charged with murder

                                                        Amanda Rice Stevenson

A 96 year old woman from Florida has become the city’s oldest murder suspect after the fatal shooting of her nephew. Amanda Rice Stevenson is charged with murdering her nephew in his sleep with a .357 magnum that police secured from the scene. 53 year old Johnny Rice was found dead laying on the floor of the home he shares with his elderly aunt. Ms. Rice, a retired postal worker, was living with her nephew even though they continued to get into disputes with one another that caused the police to come to the house several times. Johnny Rice was found dead by his wife who then called the police as his aunt waited in her bedroom.
No word on who owned the gun but reports have shown Amanda Rice Stevenson having a past record for check fraud and one for arson dating back to 1995. Local reports are also saying she may have had dementia. She is currently being held in a Florida jail.
