Explosion kills Six persons in Port Harcourt

An explosion, which also razed cars and houses, occurred after a petrol tanker skidded off the Igwuruta roundabout, leading to the Port Harcourt international airport.
Six bodies, including those of four members of a family have so far been recovered in the first phase of search and rescue for victims of the explosion which rocked Port Harcourt, the garden City on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner for Special Duties, Emeka Nwogu said he was not happy with the youth of the area who vandalised two fire service vehicles on rescue mission.
