Obamas celebrate 19th wedding anniversary

We'd like to wish President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama a happy 19th wedding anniversary today.
The couple had an early celebration Saturday night at Restaurant Eve in Alexandria, Va.
When Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson wed on Oct. 3, 1992, the 31-year-old future president worked as a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School, and had worked on a voter registration drive throughout that election year.
The bride, a lawyer, had worked in Chicago city government as assistant to the Mayor.
The wedding took place exactly one month before Bill Clinton won the 1992 presidential election, defeating President George H.W. Bush and Ross Perot.
Among the guests at that wedding, who would have guessed that the happy couple would become the nation's first couple just a little more than 16 years later?
